To kick-off our new blog, we thought we would answer one of the questions some of our pet parents ask....

"Why does my pet need a physical exam? I just want vaccines!"

This is a common question that we get. To start, every patient that walks through our doors is cared for as if they were our own family. We perform thorough physicals before administering any vaccines.  We do this because it can make a difference in our patients’ health and well being. Every week we find things on physical exams that our pet parents were not aware of, and those findings can change the course of that patients’ life. We use the safest, highest quality vaccines available today. Some hospitals choose to use a lesser quality vaccine to save on cost. We are just not willing to risk our patients by doing so. We have seen too many adverse reactions, some of them life threatening, from vaccines given elsewhere. When it comes to our patients, we don’t cut corners with preventative healthcare.  Every patient is equally important and is someone’s family member as well.
