Jodi_Ehrlich.jpgJodi Ehrlich, D.V.M

Dr. Ehrlich graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989.  After graduation she worked for two veterinary hospitals and then in 1992 started Pet Calls as a veterinary housecall practice.  As the practice grew, in order to provide the utmost care to her patients, it became necessary to have her own hospital.  In January 1999 she proudly opened Pet Calls Animal Hospital.  Pet Calls became an American Animal Hospital Association certified practice in 2004.

Dr. Roberts graduated from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Following graduation, he completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Florida Veterinary Specialists.  After his internship Dr Roberts practiced in several small animal referral facilities focusing on emergency and critical care.  Dr Roberts joined Pet Calls in June of 2009.


Rebecca Steers, D.V.M.

Dr. Steers graduated from the Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She then served as an active duty veterinarian for the US Army before making Florida her home. She started at Pet Calls Animal Hospital part-time in August 2013 and joined our team full time in February 2014. Dr. Steers enjoys the variety of being a general practitioner and has a special interest in dentistry, behavior, nutrition, and exotics. ¡Ella habla español!

Bettina.JPGBettina Mayer-Roenne, D.V.M, D.A.C.V.I.M.

Dr. Mayer-Roenne grew up in Austria and Hungary. She attended the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria and graduated in 2002. She completed a rotating small animal internship at Cornell University, Ithaca, NY. In 2004 she returned to Europe and was a staff veterinarian at the Small Animal Internal Medicine Clinic at the University of Veterinary Medicine, Munich, Germany. She then completed a doctorate degree at the University of Veterinary Medicine in Vienna, Austria in pathophysiology, where she performed scientific research about growth factor physiology. In 2006 Dr. Mayer-Roenne returned to the US and worked as an emergency and critical care staff veterinarian at Cornell University, NY. Dr. Mayer-Roenne then went on to complete a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Louisiana State University, in Baton Rouge, LA.

Dr. Mayer-Roenne moved to Florida in 2009 and worked as a staff internist at Pet PB, Animal Emergency and Referral Center, until 2011. She worked for IDEXX Laboratories from 2011 until 2013 as an internal medicine and dermatology phone consultant helping small animal veterinarians all over the US and Canada. In 2013 she started her own mobile practice providing internal medicine, ultrasound and endoscopy services to veterinary clinics in Palm Beach County, Florida.

Dr. Mayer-Roenne became a Diplomate of the ACVIM in 2011. She is a member of multiple veterinary associations, amongst them the ACVIM, AVMA, FVMA, and AAFP. Dr. Mayer-Roenne has published veterinary research articles and case reports and has been a speaker at many local, national and international veterinary meetings.

David Spranklin, D.V.M, A.C.V.S.

Dr. David Spranklin completed his DVM degree at the Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He then moved on to a rotating small animal internship at Mississippi State University in 2003. He performed his surgical residency at Washington State University where he honed his orthopedic and soft tissue surgical skills. He became board certified with the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2007. He was a staff surgeon at Veterinary Specialists of South Florida in Cooper City from 2006 until 2012.

Dr. Spranklin founded Allied Veterinary Surgery in 2012 to serve the mobile surgery needs of veterinarians in Broward and Palm Beach counties. He has formed great relationships with veterinarians and patients and successfully operated on thousands of pets. Allied Veterinary Surgery is comprised of a team that works together to try and make every surgical outcome a successful one.
